I am humbled to be presenting the third edition of my photo book about Mongolia's wonderful people, culture and landscape. Mongolia is located in the heart of Central Asia surrounded by majestic mountains, pristine lakes, whirling rivers and silky sand dunes. In the north is Lake Hovsgol, located amidst of Mongolia's taiga forest. Its water is one of the freshest in the world, containing one percent of the earth's and seventy percent of Mongolia's fresh water. In the midwestern and central part are the mountainous Khangai and Khentii regions. Their verdant valleys have been ideal camping grounds for nomads for generations. The east is home to world's last remaining pristine steppe ecosystem known as the Dornod steppes where hundreds of thousands of Mongolian gazelles roam freely. In the south is a semi desert region known as the Gobi desert where Cretaceous period dinosaurs roamed ninety millions years ago. Last but not least, the far western Altai Mountains feature Mongolia's highest peaks and glaciers, which is also a home to the ancestors of Mongolian nomads since ancient times. My lifelong mission is to introduce and promote the beauty of Mongolia to the rest of the world and I hope you will be inspired as much as I do get. Thank you and welcome to Mongolia!
